As the Drita Family, we hosted funny activities on Saturday, May 5th. Our Hıdırellez celebrations, also known as the summer festival, ended with the summer party in the evening and the wish-tree we made in the Drita Garden!
Hidirrellez of the Warm Summer Days
It is the awakening of nature after winter in the northern hemisphere. Hıdırellez, whose roots are based on thousands of years past, is known as the symbol of abundance and renewal. From the time of Mesopotamia, in Anatolia, Iran, Balkans and even all the Eastern Mediterranean countries, the joy of spring or summer is thriving. For this reason, Hıdırellez is not just a belief belonging to the Turkish Cultural Society.
As the Drita family, we declared our week as ‘Summer Weekend’ and we celebrated Hıdırellez with the intense participation of our local and foreign guests. On May 5th, Saturday, our wish tree, which we created in the morning, draws a total of 145 wishes, and within them lucky 50 wishes are to be realized according to beliefs – they fell from our tree.
We wish all people who joined our event and drew the wishes of Drita Wish-Tree and all the guests who believe in Hıdrellez that they dreams will come true very soon.
